Underneath these trees close to the shop is where you will also find a drove of Durock X Oxford Sandy and Black pigs.

They’re rooting behaviour can be visibly seen as you walk up alongside them on your way to the farm shop from the car park.

The Oxford Sandy and Black is a rare traditional breed of pig. Originating from Oxfordshire region, at least two centuries ago. The Oxford, Sandy & Black pig has existed for around 300 years being one of the oldest British pig breeds. They are known for producing succulent pork, high quality bacon and ham.

At Coppenagh House Farm we rear these pigs outdoors which give them a slow maturing and unique flavour to the meat.
