From Our Family Farm to Your Table
We’re Robert and Ciara Stanley, a husband-and-wife team behind Coppenagh House Farm on the outskirts of Tullow, Co. Carlow. Everything we do comes back to one goal: producing honest, great-tasting food that’s local, traceable, and rooted in the land we farm.
Our Story
We started supplying our own home-reared beef, pork, and bacon directly to the public to bridge the gap between producer and consumer. We wanted to shine a light on the incredible quality of Irish food — food that’s grown, raised, and prepared with care just down the road.
Our farm shop opened in August 2022, and it’s become more than just a place to buy food. It’s a place where people reconnect with nature, with the stories behind their food, and with the people who produce it.
What Makes Us Different
Our USP? Low food miles and full traceability. All our animals are raised on the farm and processed just 1 mile away by Murphy Craft Butchers in Tullow. That means minimal stress on the animal, a lower environmental impact, and maximum freshness on your plate.
We also produce raw Irish honey from hives placed on the farm by our good friend and award-winning beekeeper Dermot Rothwell. The honey is infused with the flavour of local chestnut trees, wild hedgerows, and clover fields — a true taste of Carlow.
More Than Just Food
Alongside our farm produce, we also run Ballybar Ireland, our country clothing and lifestyle brand. It reflects our rural roots and love of quality, long-lasting design. We’ve teamed up with like-minded brands, added our own in-house embroidery service, and even run photo shoots with customers to bring the brand to life.
You’ll also find yoga, wellness events, and mental health mornings in our outdoor covered coffee barn — offering people a space to breathe and connect in the calm of the countryside.
